I honestly believe education is the key to success, as well as increasing economic growth and stability. I support public education, where every child has an opportunity, and raising teachers pay in Florida.

I support legal immigration, and protecting our borders. A lot of these students were brought to the USA through no fault of their own. I do understand this debate, agree we must all pay our fair share , but I do believe investing in students makes sense. This benefits human beings, both from a fiscal perspective and from a human perspective, and offers a social good as well as financial benefits. I believe peace, unity and prosperity will come on earth when we can all change our behaviors towards each other, through education and opportunities for all.

I have watched the Indian River Lagoon turn brown because of decades of pollution from septic tanks, fertilizers, stormwater runoff and other sources. We all wonder what in the world is happening with so many dead fish washing up on the beach and lagoon in Brevard County Florida? I know that usually toxic algae blooms worsen in warmer months but the prognosis is uncertain with many contributing factors. We need to educate people in Florida, continue to advocate for funds, protect the environment as well as pass regulations that will help restore our lagoon and keep Florida beautiful.
